mcix tunnel uses 802.1Q tunnelling protocol to enable service providers to pass their own VLANs across the mcix network. Our switches add an extra 802.1Q tag to customer traffic which assigns a unique VLAN ID to each customer. This ensures that each customers' VLAN traffic is segregated and private.
